Can I wash my car after it's been tinted?

Yes. Since window tint is on the inside of your car, it shouldn’t be affected. However, make sure no water gets inside your car and they clean your windows on the inside with Ammonia-free glass cleaner.

Does rain affect new window

No. Window tint is on the inside of your windows and, if you keep your windows closed until cured (about 3-5 days), there shouldn’t be any problems.

Does tinting your windshield affect your vision or visibility?

No. In a study involving a tinted windshield and its effects on aging drivers’ visual acuity and glare response including both young and elderly people, window tint was shown to have no statistical effect on vision.

What is the best way to clean tinted car windows?

There are two main considerations when cleaning tinted windows

Use soft microfiber cloths when cleaning the windows. Even household items like paper towel with a rougher surface can damage tinted windows.

What is the darkest legal tint for your car?

Every state has different window tint laws regarding allowable darkness and reflection. If you are crossing state lines and get pulled over for window tint that was legal in your state but NOT in the state you are currently in, you will normally only get a warning. What is the average length that tint will last on car windows?

Standard paint protection films generally last around 5 years. The PPF that we use at All Star Auto Protection usually lasts at least 10 years, and often longer if properly maintained.

What can I do to help maintain my car’s window tint?

Monitor your window tint for imperfections. Vertical streaks could mean that your window is rubbing when you put it up and down. This will quickly wear out the tint.
Avoid abrasive cleaners and use soft cloths when cleaning your windows.
Remove bubbles, and creases as soon as you see them start to form.

How long should I wait before rolling my windows down after being tinted?

Rolling your windows down prematurely can harm the tint just like washing your windows too soon can. While four days is usually long enough to wait, you might want to wait a week to be on the safe side.

Is it normal to have bubbles in my window after they are tinted?

Bubbles in the window tints are normal for a few hours after installation. If the bubbles remain after a week or two, the tint was not installed properly.
